Delete Your Kite Account

You can permanently delete your Kite account and associated personal data using the in-app option below, or by contacting the developer.
Option 1 — Delete in the app (recommended)
Follow these steps in the Kite app:
- Open the Kite app and sign in.
- Go to the Personal tab (bottom navigation).
- Tap the Settings icon (gear) in the top-right corner.
- Select Manage accounts.
- Scroll to Danger zone and tap Delete account.
- Read the confirmation message and confirm deletion.
- You may be asked to verify your identity (re-authenticate) before deletion completes.
Warning: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the app, email the developer with the subject line "Kite account deletion request" and include:
- The email address linked to your Kite account
- Your display name (if known)
- A clear statement that you want your account permanently deleted

We will respond and process valid requests within a reasonable period (typically within 30 days).
What is deleted
When your account is deleted, we remove, within a reasonable period:
- Your Firebase Authentication account
- Your profile documents (
users/{uid}andpublicProfiles/{uid}) - Saved posts lists and push notification tokens linked to your account
- Profile and cover images stored in Firebase Storage under your account
What may be retained
Some information may remain where technically or legally necessary:
- Posts, comments, or meetup records already stored in shared collections (they may remain visible but may no longer be linked to an active profile)
- Reports you filed, retained for moderation and legal compliance
- Backups, logs, or security records for a limited period
- Information we must retain to comply with law or resolve disputes
Additional retention is limited to what is reasonably necessary and permitted by applicable law.
