Child Safety Standards
Last updated: July 14, 2026
This page describes how Kite (the “Service”) addresses child safety. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Terms of Service (in-app), and End User License Agreement (in-app).
1. Age requirement and audience
Kite is not directed to children and is intended for users who are at least sixteen (16) years old, or the minimum age required by applicable law in their jurisdiction, whichever is higher.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the minimum age required by applicable law. During registration, users must confirm that they meet this age requirement before continuing.
If you believe a child has created an account or provided personal information in violation of our policies, please contact us using the details in Section 7 below.
2. Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE)
We maintain zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM), child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), grooming, sexualization of minors, or any content that endangers children.
Prohibited conduct includes, without limitation:
- Uploading, sharing, soliciting, or facilitating CSAM or CSAE;
- Grooming or attempting to exploit minors;
- Depicting, promoting, or encouraging harm to children;
- Using the Service to contact minors for unlawful or exploitative purposes.
Accounts involved in such conduct may be suspended or permanently removed. We may preserve relevant information and cooperate with law enforcement, child protection authorities, and organizations such as the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where required or appropriate.
3. In-app safety tools
Kite provides user safety features, including:
- Report content — users can report posts, comments, meetups, and accounts from in-app menus;
- Child safety reporting — the report flow includes a dedicated reason: “Child safety or exploitation”;
- Block users — users can block other members to stop seeing their content and interactions;
- Account deletion — users can delete their account in-app or by request (see account deletion).
Reports are stored for moderation, safety, audit, and legal compliance. We review reports and may remove content, restrict accounts, or take other enforcement action.
4. Moderation and enforcement
We may review, remove, restrict, or disable access to content or accounts that we reasonably believe:
- Violate these standards or our Terms of Service / EULA;
- Endanger children or other users;
- Violate applicable law.
Moderation may be initiated by user reports, internal review, or legal/regulatory requirements. We do not guarantee that all harmful content will be identified or removed immediately.
5. Parental and guardian concerns
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child is using Kite in violation of our age policy, contact us with:
- A description of the concern;
- The account email or username, if known;
- Any relevant screenshots or links (if available).
We will take appropriate steps, which may include account restriction, content removal, and deletion of associated personal data where feasible and permitted by law.
